Majid developed the first Master's level course on service management at Carnegie Mellon which he continues to teach. He played a key role in the development of a Master's level curriculum on service management jointly offered by ITSqc and the H.J. Heinz III School of Public Policy &
Management. Majid also teaches in the CIO Certificate Program offered by Carnegie Mellon for public sector professionals.
Majid is a member of the ITIL Advisory Group (IAG) set up by the UK Office of Government Commerce (OGC) to guide the ITIL Refresh Project. He is an author of the Service Strategy volume of ITIL v3. Majid is an active member of itSMF USA. He fostered the creation of the itSMF USA Student Special Interest Group.
Majid's previous experience is in sales, product management, and process improvement. His education is in industrial engineering and information systems management.
