New Accredited ITIL Examination Institute: CERT-IT

The APM Group, Official Accreditor of the ITIL Qualification Scheme, has announced that Cert-IT, based in Germany, been accredited as ITIL Examination Institute. The APM Group's role as OGC's Official Accreditor for the ITIL Qualification scheme, allows it to license Examination Institutes to administer ITIL qualification and accreditation activities.

Thomas Michel, CEO, Cert-IT GmbH, said , "The IT job market is experiencing a shortage of Information Technology Service Management personnel and we are glad that we are now able to address this deficit with the ITIL certification program."

Cert-IT GmbH was founded by the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunication and New Media (BITKOM) , the Central Association of Electric Engineering and Electric Industries (ZVEI), the Metal Workers' Union (IG Metall), the Unified Service Industries Union (ver.di), the German Society for Computer Sciences (GI) and the Fraunhofer-Society, in order to bridge the IT skills gap.

Cert-IT is a certification body for ISO 9000 and ISO 17024 accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS GmbH), founded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
