APM Group-The Accreditor has endorsed the ISO/IEC 20000 certification scheme being run by Examination Institute APMG-International.
In the APMG International scheme, candidates can take ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation, Practitioner and Auditor Examinations. Each qualification has been awarded ITIL credits according to the recognized complementary qualifications scheme.
The credits are as follows:
ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certificate: 1 credit
ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor Certificate: 1 credit
ISO/IEC 20000 Practitioner Certificate: 1.5 credits
The APMG ISO/IEC 20000 scheme has been approved by the IQC, an independent subgroup of the itSMFI, which recommends that the scheme is a complementary product to the ITIL V3 portfolio.
The Complementary Qualifications Scheme is an initiative run by The APM Group in association with itSMFI and its International Qualifications and Certifications Committee (IQC). The scheme allows all Licensed Examination Institutes to submit certifications for assessment by a panel of experts at the ICQ for their relevance and the supplementary content they offer to the existing V3 portfolio of examinations and certifications.
The successful outcome of this assessment is the recognition of these certifications as 'Complementary Qualifications' and the award of credits within the scheme.
