The content of the OGC core ITIL publications as published by TSO is protected by Crown copyright, and may only be used under licence from OGC. Similarly the trade marks associated with ITIL are owned by OGC and a licence is required to re-use them.
ITIL Accredited Training Organisations are licensed to use their respective ITIL Accreditation mark and official ITIL content in accredited training courses and marketing activities relating directly to their accredited offerings. Accredited organisations wishing to use OGC's intellectual property for any other purpose must apply to APM Group for a Trade Mark (and Copyright) Licence.
Unaccredited organisations and individuals must apply to APM Group for a Trade Mark (and Copyright) Licence if they wish to use the ITIL trade mark (word mark) or Crown copyright from official ITIL publications.
